Citrix and VMware Debate Hypervisor Performance at Catalyst - VIDEO
If you work with virtualization or read about the technology in the media or the blogosphere, you had to have read at least one article discussing the debates around hypervisor performance.  While Citrix and VMware continue to advance their hypervisor platforms, the debate continues.  Blogs became a wonderful platform for these two corporate giants to do battle, especially over the ongoing issue of performance.  Both companies passionately disagree with one another, and community members have typically taken sides with their platform of choice for the most part.  At Burton Group's Catalyst conference this year, the performance issue was debated yet again, this time on stage with Simon Crosby (CTO - Citrix) and Scott Drummonds (Manager, Technical Marketing VMware).

Simon Crosby is in my opinion, always a pleasure to watch and listen to.  I've never met someone as passionate about his work and his product as Crosby, and it shows through in his presentations and his blog articles.  Whether you agree with his positions or not, you can't deny him his passion on the subject.

I invite you to watch this video from Catalyst as these two representatives go after it.  It is just over 41 minutes long, but I believe it worth the time.  Enjoy!
