Pano Logic Expands Support for Partner Community
Pano Logic®, the leader in virtual desktops, today announced new resources for the Pano Logic Partner Program with marketing and pricing benefits outlined in the newly available Pano Logic North American Reseller Guide. Pano Logic also introduced new sales incentives for their partner community, including a Pano Starter Kit sales contest running through December 31, 2009. The “Pano Logic North American Reseller Guide: Program, Policies and Requirements” details how the Pano Logic Partner Program directly supports solution-oriented resellers by expanding their business to include the Pano System™ in a repeatable sales model.

“Building strong relationships with our partners is essential to providing customers with the best deployment and ongoing support experience possible,” said Bryan Cox, executive vice president of worldwide field operations for Pano Logic. “By combining our collective expertise across servers, storage, networking and virtualization, Pano Logic and its partners are able to provide customers with the simplest, easiest and most effective way to deploy and successfully use desktop virtualization.”

With over 200 reseller partners worldwide, the Pano System provides everything needed to easily and rapidly deploy virtual desktops. Delivering a native Microsoft Windows user experience and robust scalable desktop architecture, the Pano System centralizes the management of desktops in the data center, eliminating any maintenance at the desktop, as well as making new user provisioning and business continuity much more effective.

“Pano Logic’s integrated software and hardware solution is incredibly innovative and has been a solid addition to our practice,” said Aaron Nack, COO of Ahead, LLC. “We focus on the three pillars necessary to building an agile service-oriented data center: virtualization, archiving and recovery. The true zero-client nature of the Pano System and Pano Logic’s new resources will facilitate our delivery of results.”

About the Pano System

The Pano System includes zero-client endpoint devices and the virtual machine and management software components required to leverage your existing virtual infrastructure to support centralized virtual desktops. The key components of the solution are the:

  • Pano Device – Winner of the prestigious red dot award for design, the Pano device is a true zero-client with nothing to manage or maintain at the user endpoint. The Pano device connects keyboard, mouse, display, audio and USB peripherals over an existing IP network to a virtual instance of Windows XP running on a VMware ESX or ESXi server. The Pano device provides significant power savings, consuming only 3% of the energy used by traditional desktop computers.
  • Pano Manager – A web-based management interface, deployed as a virtual machine in the data center on your VMware Infrastructure which enables administrators to automate virtual desktop deployment and management by integrating with existing directory services and VMware vCenter Server.
  • Pano Desktop Service – A lightweight service residing within each Windows desktop virtual machine that links display, audio, and USB peripherals attached to the Pano device to the unmodified native Windows drivers in the virtual machine.
  • Pano Remote – An optional remote access tool for Pano virtual desktops delivered on a USB key, Pano Remote allows users to securely access their Pano desktops from any Windows XP or Vista computer. It uses standard Internet protocols to communicate to the bundled Pano Gateway portal, providing encrypted communications without the need for complex and costly VPN software or hardware.
