Pano Logic Launches VDI "Cash for Clunkers" Program
Pano Logic, the leader in virtual desktops, today announced the launch of a trade-in VDI stimulus program for the next 30 days that lets new and current Pano Logic customers get a rebate towards the purchase of a zero-client Pano System™ by turning in an eligible thin client. The thin clients will be destroyed and properly recycled by Pano Logic in accordance with applicable e-waste regulations, also saving companies the disposal fees.

And as a special VMworld promotion, Pano Logic is also offering a free Pano System to the first 100 customers who trade in an eligible thin client to Pano Logic’s booth #2315 at the VMworld 2009 event on September 1 or 2. The free Pano Systems include not only the Pano Device zero-client hardware but also all of the installation and management tools needed to get up and running on top of the customer’s existing VMware virtual infrastructure in as little as an hour.

“Our VDI ‘cash for clunkers’ rebate program will offer IT managers an easy way to get started with the Pano System at little or no cost to their organization,” said Bryan Cox, executive vice president of worldwide field operations for Pano Logic. “We understand that it can be especially hard in this economic environment to find the budget needed to look at new technology despite the upside these strategic initiatives can bring. Our goal for these rebate and trade-in programs is to help IT organizations realize the productivity, security and energy-saving benefits of Pano System virtual desktops while recovering some of the investments they’ve made in prior thin client trials.”

The thin client trade-in promotion at the VMworld event is limited to one thin client each for the first 100 customers.
