Info Security Products Guide Awards Cloud 10 Winner of the 2009 Best Deployment Scenario Awards

RingCube Technologies, Inc. announced today that Info Security Products Guide, industry’s leading publication on security-related products and technologies has named the Cloud 10 deployment of RingCube vDesk a winner of the 2009 Best Deployment Scenario Awards in the Desktop Virtualization Solution category. This prestigious award recognizes security vendors with advanced, ground-breaking security solutions that are helping set the bar higher for others in all areas of information security. The Cloud 10 virtual call center solution using RingCube vDesk on Intel PCs was selected based on real world solution deployments that are making the most positive impact on security in today’s highly sophisticated and blended attacks environment.

Cloud 10 Corporation selected RingCube vDesk running on Intel Architecture PCs where the vDesk master workspace image is stored and managed in the Cloud 10 data center. Each vDesk workspace instance is then provisioned remotely to the end users over the network and any policy changes, application updates, or deletion/revocation are managed and controlled centrally. Through the vDesk solution, Cloud 10’s at-home professionals log onto the Cloud 10 network and interface with tools delivered within the vDesk workspace, helping the company to achieve a 7-to-1 cost savings over their previous thin-client /server-base computing approach.

“The most powerful message security vendors can ever give to prove their capabilities and continued commitment in solving customer’s security needs is through successful deployments,” says Rake Narang, editor-in-chief, Info Security Products Guide. “RingCube’s successful vDesk deployment at Cloud 10 helps solve the security aspects of deploying a desktop virtualization solution while providing users with the highest level of security and peace of mind.”

“Lowering our total costs with virtualization allows us to compete effectively with other call centers. vDesk’s performance, stability, portability, and how it has helped us meet PCI security requirements were key advantages over other solutions,” said Marc Robinson, vice president of IT, Cloud 10 Corporation. “We are pleased to be recognized for our desktop virtualization deployment particularly for some of the security best practices we have put in place.”

“Info Security Products Guide’s recognition of Cloud 10 further validates our commitment to our customers that our products and solutions can be successfully deployed,” said Doug Dooley, vice president of marketing, RingCube. “Deploying successful security solutions is important for our company as customer satisfaction is the key to our success. vDesk allows companies like Cloud 10 to lockdown and secure the desktop environment for virtual agents without compromising performance or cost savings necessary for their business operations.”
