Parallels and SugarCRM Announce Parallels APS Certification for Sugar 6: CRM Made Simple

SugarCRM, the world’s leading provider of open source customer relationship management (CRM) software, and Parallels, the leader in cloud enablement and automation software, announced that Sugar 6 has been certified to run in the Parallels Application Packaging Standard (APS) format. This development gives Parallels’ expansive partner network the opportunity to bring cloud-enabled CRM to its customers around the world.

“Parallels enables over 5,000 service providers to deliver cloud services to small businesses. Sugar 6 support of APS leverages this worldwide network of cloud service provider partners,” said Nick Lallas, vice president of cloud services at Parallels. “We are committed to providing our cloud service providers with the latest software-as-a-service solutions to help them differentiate their offerings, increase average revenue per user and reduce churn with their customers. SugarCRM’s commitment to ‘run anywhere’ open cloud deployments is a perfect fit for the Parallels Service Provider Partners.”

APS is fast becoming a global standard platform for the cloud enablement of web applications. Partner companies, including hosting and other service providers, can work with Parallels to leverage robust cloud applications such as SugarCRM, to provide a seamless purchase, deployment and maintenance experience for their end user customers. Today, Parallels helps hundreds of independent software vendors and thousands of service providers profit from the benefits of cloud computing.

“The certification of Sugar 6 on APS is a testament to the power of flexible, open solutions on the Open Cloud,” says Chuck Coulson, vice president of business development at SugarCRM. “Now any Parallels partner utilizing the APS standard can offer intuitive, flexible and open CRM solutions as an additional value added service to their customers and realize a higher average revenue per user.”
