Today at VMworld 2010,
LogLogic, a leader in SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and log management, announced that it plans to provide full support for
VMware vCloud Director, as part of its
LogLogic 5 product offering.
“We congratulate VMware in the release of VMware vCloud™ Director, and we’re pleased to be one of the first vendors in our market to provide support for it,” said LogLogic CEO Guy Churchward. “Using LogLogic 5 with VMware vCloud™ Director will enable cloud computing users to operate a secure, efficient IT infrastructure within a compliance or best-practice framework with enhanced visibility and control.”
LogLogic 5 will provide 360 Insight by centralizing and structuring virtual machine operational information, like log data. The LogLogic 5 solution will have insight into how the VMware vCloud Director systems are configured, how they react under load, and how they are being used by the customers. The solution will alert data center personnel in real-time to operational issues. The alerts will be backed up with forensic discovery tools and all the evidentiary reporting needed.
“LogLogic enables service providers and enterprise customers that deploy VMware vCloud™ Director to archive, analyze and present the logs generated by their cloud infrastructure,” said Dan Chu, vice president, cloud infrastructure and services, VMware. “We’re excited to see VMware vCloud™ Director support in LogLogic 5 as this will help ensure that service providers and enterprise customers can meet their compliance needs to deliver IT as a service.”
This is LogLogic’s second VMware-related announcement this summer, having announced a Technology Preview of its Log Management Virtual Appliance in June. For more information on the Log Management Virtual Appliance, see http://loglogic.com/virtual-appliance.
