Trend Micro InterScan Messaging Security Virtual Appliance is Now VMware Ready for Mail Security
Today at VMworld 2010, Trend Micro announced that Trend Micro InterScan Messaging Virtual Appliance (IMSVA) is the first of its kind to achieve VMware Ready for Mail Security, a new status in the VMware Ready program. Trend Micro underwent a rigorous three-level testing process that included: a VMware Ready application test, a virtual appliance build test, and a Zimbra Collaboration Suite integration test. This collaboration opens a new VMware Ready product category, and gives Trend Micro another opportunity to deepen its relationship with VMware.

A VMware Ready virtual appliance since 2009, Trend Micro InterScan Messaging Security Virtual Appliance's most recent validation in this category provides added assurance that customers will gain a successful deployment of their gateway messaging appliance within a virtualized environment. It guarantees that IMSVA can integrate with one of Zimbra's core products – the Zimbra Appliance, an enterprise-class email and collaboration solution delivered as a virtual appliance that provides email, calendaring, document management, file sharing, mobile-sync and simplified administrative controls all in an award-winning webmail user-interface built on the VMware vSphere™ platform.

Trend Micro gateway email security is designed to proactively stop threats before they enter your network while securing data before it leaves your network by scanning email links, attachments, email and web reputation services, providing layered anti-spam engines with inbound pre-filtering in the cloud and comprehensive content filtering and encryption for outbound protection.
