Veeam Software, innovative provider of VMware data protection, disaster recovery and VMware management solutions for virtual datacenter environments, today announced the addition of one more VMware vExpert to the Veeam team—Rick Vanover, author, blogger and former IT Infrastructure Manager at Alliance Data Systems Corporation.

Vanover’s new title is Product Strategy Specialist. He will focus on sharing his virtualization expertise by hosting Veeam webinars, authoring whitepapers and developing blog content. In addition to being named a VMware vExpert, his certifications include VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).

Five weeks into Q4, Vanover is Veeam’s sixtieth new hire for the quarter, which surpasses the number of new hires during all of Q3 (47). The total number of Veeam employees worldwide is now 361.
