Reflex Systems Realizes 150% VMC Revenue Growth and 210% Average Deal Size Increase; Expands New Customer Base by 30% in 2010
Reflex Systems, a pioneer in virtualization systems management solutions, today disclosed impressive year-over-year revenue and average deal size growth, and significant increases in new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion for 2010. Reflex attributes these strong results to a maturing virtualization market that requires robust management solutions.

"The virtualization market has reached a new stage. Cost savings and flexibility benefits have plateaued—and they're in danger of decreasing due to the complexities inherent in wider-scale adoption," said Preston Futrell, President and CEO of Reflex Systems. "Organizations in industries across the board are turning to Reflex Virtualization Management Center (VMC) for the detailed visibility, comprehensive control, and broad automation they need to take their virtual and cloud infrastructures to the next level."

According to Rachel Chalmers, Research Director, Infrastructure Management, The 451 Group, "Reflex delivers the type of automation and management capabilities that are essential for enterprises that want to expand their virtual infrastructure and take advantage of the cloud. With more companies realizing the impact of having—or not having—these capabilities, we expect Reflex VMC adoption will continue growing."

In 2010, Reflex achieved key financial, customer, partner, and product milestones, including:

  • Business growth: VMC license revenue grew 150% YOY, while the average deal size increased exponentially—by 210%—as customers implemented more modules of the Reflex VMC solution, and deployed them on a larger scale. The company expanded its new customer base by 30%. The value and sustainability of Reflex VMC, and growth in adoption of virtualization within enterprises was also evident in the 20% of Reflex's existing customers who purchased add-on licenses.
  • Market expansion: Reflex made new customer gains in a variety of markets, including financial services, education, telecom, and federal government. In fact, federal agencies accounted for 32% of Reflex's 2010 revenue.
  • Strategic partnerships and initiatives: Reflex unveiled its Private Cloud Initiative, including new product capabilities, best practices, and partnerships with HP, Cisco, and Arista to enhance automation, provisioning, and management of private clouds. The company also integrated its vTrust Security module into the CSC Trusted Cloud offering, and partnered with HP to integrate Reflex VMC with the TippingPoint Intrusion Prevention System to provide comprehensive security, visibility and performance across physical and virtual network infrastructures.
  • Product Enhancements: Reflex expanded Reflex VMC with a new module—vProfile Configuration Management—which enables enterprises to visually map configuration variances in their virtual infrastructure and enforces compliance with internal or external configuration standards.
