Oracle has announced a new maintenance release for their VM VirtualBox virtualization product, bringing it to version 4.0.4. The update is a minor dot release, and is considered a maintenance release, improving stability and fixing regressions. Some of the updates include:
- Support for X.Org Server 1.10 pre-release
- Support for Ubuntu 11.04 Alpha
- Fixed running 64-bit guests on 32-bit host with nested paging enabled on AMD CPUs
- Fixed rare crash on X11 hosts
- Allow savestate even if the VM is already paused
- Improved sanity check when taking a VM screen shot
- Fixed VBox DHCP server startup issue for Windows hosts
- Fixed write errors with snapshots if the host cache is disabled
- Fixed hang with SMP VMs
- Linux 2.6.38-rc1 compile fixes
