Virtual Bridges today announced that it has been selected as a finalist in the 2011 MIT Sloan CIO Symposium Innovation Showcase (http://www.mitcio.com/). The Innovation Showcase highlights ten early stage companies that provide cutting-edge technology and offer new levels of value and advancement to enterprise IT.

"MIT is all about innovation and entrepreneurship, and we developed the Innovation Showcase to highlight early stage companies that are on the leading edge. Virtual Bridges is one of these companies," said David L. Verrill, executive director of the MIT Center for Digital Business and co-chair of the Innovation Showcase. "The Symposium provides these early stage companies with a platform to demonstrate their new thinking and approaches to vital challenges facing CIOs in today's digital economy."

"Virtual Bridges is honored to be selected as a MIT Sloan CIO Symposium Innovation Showcase finalist," said Jim Curtin, president and CEO at Virtual Bridges. “As the industry’s only Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Gen 2 solution, VERDE combines online, offline and remote branch VDI solutions to deliver anytime, anywhere access to virtual desktops. We’re seeing tremendous momentum around VDI Gen 2 due to its easy-to-use management platform, sophisticated security features and unparalleled performance.”
