Embotics Announces a 16-Session, Free Webinar Series and Contest, "Journey to the Cloud"

Embotics Corporation, a pioneer in virtualization and private cloud management, today announced a series of free webinars designed to help enterprises progress along the virtualization path to private cloud deployment. The series, “Journey to the Cloud,” includes 16 short webinars targeted toward four stages of virtualization adoption. In recognition of the challenge of reaching the private cloud and the need for a trusted guide along the way, Embotics has created a contest to accompany the webinar series. The winner will receive a trip to Mount Everest Base Camp in Nepal, the ultimate destination for viewing the clouds.

Beginning Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. ET, the webinar series will feature four phases, each aimed at participants’ level of virtualization adoption. Each phase will include four 15-minute webinars highlighting the key issues enterprises face at that particular stage of the journey toward the private cloud, and will include strategies for overcoming obstacles. The series includes:

  • Phase I: “Getting ready for the journey – Acclimation,” starting Wednesday, May 11, 2011
  • Phase II: “Gearing up – Consolidation,” starting Wednesday, June 8, 2011
  • Phase III: “No turning back – Transformational,” starting Wednesday, July 6, 2011
  • Phase IV: “Reaching the summit – Optimized Cloud Delivery,” starting Wednesday, August 3, 2011

“The maturity of an organization’s virtualization infrastructure has a direct correlation with its readiness to delivery on-demand, cloud based services,” said Jason Cowie, vice president of product management at Embotics. “Too many enterprises have stalled out due to lack of standardized processes, governance, automation and management. However, with guidance, they can quickly reach the summit on their journey to the cloud and begin capturing the savings and agility that virtualization promises.”

For every webinar participants attend, they will earn one ballot toward the grand prize trip to Mount Everest Base Camp. Additional ballots will be awarded for activities such as following Embotics on Twitter (using the hashtag #EmboticsCloud and @EmboticsCorp handle), providing a video testimonial of V-Commander, writing a guest blog, completing a survey and more.
