Zenoss Exceeds 100% Year-Over Year Growth in Q1 2011
Zenoss, Inc., a provider of next generation management software for physical, virtual, and cloud-based IT environments, announced today that the company achieved over 100% new sales growth in Q1 2011 compared to Q1 the previous year. With growing demand in the market for scalable, unified cloud operations solutions, three tier-one telecommunications companies have now chosen to use Zenoss to operate their next generation cloud infrastructures.

“As enterprises and service providers adopt cloud technologies, they find that the traditional management tools are ill-suited for the new environment and this is creating strong demand for our platform”, said Bill Karpovich, CEO of Zenoss. “Beyond our cloud capabilities, organizations are finding that a real advantage that Zenoss brings is that we can unify operations across traditional IT, virtualized infrastructure, private cloud and/or public cloud into a single product.”

Q1 2011 Highlights:

  • Zenoss released Zenoss Datacenter Insight, the first unified analytics product for physical, virtualization and cloud operations with insight into their relationships and dependencies. The new technology allows IT operations to make decisions based on context-rich views, not just stream of data points that need to be stitched together. Additionally, the product helps Cloud providers fully utilize public and private Cloud infrastructures.
  • In January, Zenoss was positioned in the “Visionaries” quadrant in Gartner Inc.’s 2010 Magic Quadrant for IT Event Correlation and Analysis (ECA).
  • Rick Houlihan joined Zenoss’ executive team as Vice President of Engineering. He is a cloud computing veteran with over 20 years of broad experience, spending the last decade focused on virtualization and cloud computing. Before joining the Zenoss team, Houlihan was a Software Architect at IBM.
  • Zenoss is currently monitoring the first private Cloud service available as part of the U.S. Government’s Apps.gov program, managed by Autonomic Resources.
  • Zenoss works with six of the top twenty providers named in Gartner Inc.’s 2010 Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Web Hosting, including Rackspace and Hosting.com.
  • Rackspace Hosting renewed their subscription to Zenoss Enterprise and substantially expanded Zenoss’ scope to monitor more than 30,000 cloud infrastructure components in support of both their traditional managed hosting offering as well as Rackspace Cloud. The health of the infrastructure is mission critical to all of Rackspace’s 100,000+ customers, including over 80,000 cloud computing customers.
