Veloxum Makes Major Move into Asia with Virtual Enterprise Optimization Global Reseller Systex
Veloxum Corporation, a performance management company, today announced a significant move into Asia with the addition the No.1 Taiwan-based IT services provider in the Asia-Pacific region, Systex. The deal with Systex will increase service, support and distribution of Veloxum’s optimization products, such as Veloxum for Enterprise, throughout the Asian market.

Systex provides professional technology services, systems integration services, and outsourcing services, delivering comprehensive IT applications and infrastructure solutions. Veloxum selected Systex to resell its Active Continuous Optimization (ACO)-based Veloxum for VMware enterprise optimization solution based on Systex’s leading Asian market presence, industry knowledge, and depth of technical expertise to successfully implement Veloxum solutions in virtualized environments. As a value-added reseller of Veloxum, Systex will resell and provide consulting service on Veloxum products to support partners and customers in Asia.

Veloxum’s ACO solution helps VMware users automatically optimize VMware platforms and increase performance and density up to 50%. Veloxum’s ACO offering enables VMware users to analyze and optimize all elements of their platform including the server capacity, networking, physical storage and interaction with clients.

“Systex’s tremendous strength, reach, and reputation throughout Asia made them an excellent partner to with to further the success of Veloxum’s ACO process. Their track-record with vendors that offer cutting-edge technology to solve customers’ network and infrastructure issues was a major reason that we selected them to be part of our program,” said Kevin Cornell, Chief Executive Officer of Veloxum. “This partnership will enable both companies to provide VMware users with significantly increased efficiency and TCO, greater regional support and reduced time-to-market to successfully implement our ACO optimization solution.”

“Systex has forged partner relationships with global solution providers who can offer game-changing solutions for our customers’ IT infrastructure.” said Frank Lin, CEO & President of Systex. “Veloxum is unique in what it does – examining configuration settings across all elements of a client’s server and VMware platform and continually fine-tuning these settings to deliver dramatic improvements in efficiency and dramatic cost savings. Veloxum offers a solution that ticks all the boxes – quick deployment, guaranteed performance improvements and fast return on investment.”

ACO-powered Veloxum optimization for physical and virtualized server infrastructure
Many organizations have invested heavily in desktop virtualization projects in order to achieve the cost savings presented to them as part of an ROI model. But without continuous tuning, the servers struggle to achieve these results. Veloxum actively and continuously tunes server settings to deliver optimum performance and virtual-to-physical densities. Veloxum’s Active Continuous Optimization (ACO) process uses patent-pending algorithms to calculate the optimum server configuration settings that improve all aspects of server-based performance. Veloxum then implements and logs these new optimal configurations, and acts as a continuous ‘tune-up’ service to configure elements automatically without requiring any user intervention or specialist skills.

In addition, Veloxum performance increases allow more virtual desktop clients per host, without increasing the number of physical servers. This leads to dramatic cost savings in terms of deferred capital expenditures on new hardware and its associated support, maintenance, power and cooling requirements, reducing its Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Veloxum customers typically see a return on investment period of less than 6 months.

Veloxum for Enterprise supports optimizing most VDI server host environments, including VMware’s vSphere and ESX(i), and most major enterprise operating systems, including AIX, Linux, OSX, Solaris, and Windows. Veloxum for Enterprise also includes application-specific optimizations for popular Microsoft applications, such as Exchange, SharePoint, and SQLserver.
