Nimbula Partners With Red Hat to Support Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization and Deltacloud
During the Red Hat Summit, Nimbula, the Cloud Operating System Company, announced that Nimbula Director will support Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 2.2, which provide a strong foundation for today's cloud deployments. Nimbula will also work with the Deltacloud community to insure support for Nimbula Director in the Deltacloud project.

This new support enables enterprises and service providers to take advantage of recent advancements around virtualization, performance and security from one of the world’s most trusted IT platforms and extend it into the cloud using their existing applications or management tools.

Based on Nimbula's Cloud Operating System technology, Nimbula Director delivers Amazon EC2-like services to both enterprises and service providers with high levels of scalability, automation, fine grained identity control, and next generation networking. Allowing customers to efficiently manage both on- and off-premises resources, Nimbula Director quickly and cost-effectively transforms inflexible, inefficient and under-utilized data centers into powerful, easily configurable compute capacity while supporting controlled access to off-premise clouds. Through the availability of the Nimbula Director with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization customers are offered the benefits of an innovative cloud operating system that supports existing IT initiatives and investments.
