Next generation cloud
hosting company StratoGen has today launched a self-service system for hosting
VMware virtual machines in the cloud.
In an industry first
for StratoGen, it has become the first cloud provider to launch a self-service,
hosted VMware solution based on VMware vCloud Director. Organizations can sign
up online to instantly create a bespoke virtual datacenter, into which they can
deploy VMware virtual machines, vApps, networks and
firewalls.
The next generation
solution is based on technology from VMware including vSphere 4.1 and vCloud
Director.
David Elliott,
Technical Director said “Giving our clients the ability to create a hosted
VMware environment to their specification in seconds is a great achievement for
our team. Whether you are looking to build a complex private cloud or simply
host a VMware virtual appliance, this self-service system greatly simplifies
your task.”
StratoGen takes an
innovative approach to cloud hosting by offering its services in the form of
virtual datacenters. Virtual datacenters offer much greater flexibility to the
end user, allowing them to easily build out environments that are suited to load
balancing, disaster recovery or mirroring their in-house
platforms.
Karl Robinson,
Managing Director commented “StratoGen continue to innovate at the leading edge
of cloud hosting to bring new and important benefits to our clients. This
service now completes an end-to-end solution that allows an organization to
instantly signup, build and configure their perfect VMware environment in the
cloud. It’s a significant achievement that we are all very proud
of.”
