DataCore Software Named to Everything Channel's Inaugural CRN Virtualization 100 List; Adds to 5-Star Rating in 2011 Partner Programs Guide

DataCore Software, the industry’s premier provider of storage virtualization software, today announced it has been recognized by Everything Channel in CRN’s new Virtualization 100 list. Featuring the top 100 vendors in the virtualization space as identified by the editorial staff at CRN, the list serves as the de facto resource by which VARs can begin to evaluate the best virtualization products for their business. DataCore was named to the Virtualization 100 for providing a compelling software advantage that delivers hardware independence and cost saving benefits to storage in much the same way as VMware, Microsoft and Citrix software do to servers and desktops.

With its SANsymphony-V next-generation storage virtualization software solution, DataCore makes it easy to address the essential storage dimension to virtualization, enabling solution providers to accelerate sales cycles, increase margins and address the lucrative and growing storage market. Virtualization solution providers can easily leverage their virtual server and virtual desktop practices with DataCore, making it practical to address the demanding storage needs – cost, performance, and availability – of their virtualization project.

Kelley Damore, vice president and editorial director, Everything Channel, said CRN’s Virtualization 100 vendors were selected based on their ability to help VARs transform themselves into true service providers and help organizations and enterprises take advantage of the ease, flexibility, scalability, elasticity, and cost savings that leveraging virtualization has to offer.

“From server to storage to desktop virtualization, this technology will become a mainstay for businesses large and small and one of the more profitable technologies for VARs to integrate and sell,” said Damore. “The Virtualization 100 list showcases the best virtualization technology solutions to help VARs navigate the virtualization landscape and determine which vendor is best suited to meet their unique needs.”

This most recent recognition from CRN follows the publication’s 2011 ranking of DataCore to the 2011 Partner Programs Guide. The DataCore Partner Program was also awarded a 5-Star Partner rating for the second straight year for offering a program that provides the best possible partnering elements for channel success.

“DataCore remains focused on helping customers and partners alike to efficiently solve the storage-related riddles that impede virtualization projects from being successful when deploying a virtual infrastructure,” said Dan Hascall, vice president of Americas Channel and Sales Operations, DataCore Software. “CRN’s continued recognition of DataCore is validation of the value that storage virtualization brings as an essential part of enterprise virtualization, and that we’re continuing to drive the type of market-leading innovation that will help customers and partners leverage their data assets for competitive advantage.”

A sample of the Virtualization 100 will be featured in the May 23rd issue of CRN Magazine and online at http://www.crn.com/.
