Red Hat, Inc., the world's leading provider of open source solutions, today announced that it has been recognized for the second consecutive year with an HP AllianceONE Partner of the Year award. In the 2011 awards program, Red Hat was selected as the winner of the HP Cloud Computing ISV category for the Red Hat Cloud, HP Edition solution.
The HP AllianceONE Partner of the Year Awards are presented to an exclusive set of HP alliance partners in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments in the development and delivery of innovative solutions that achieve standard-setting levels for business excellence and client satisfaction.
Announced at the Red Hat Summit in May 2011, the Red Hat Cloud, HP Edition offering builds on Red Hat Cloud Foundations, which combines the technology leadership of Red Hat solutions, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, JBoss Enterprise Middleware and Red Hat Network Satellite, to help customers build IaaS clouds. The offering also includes HP CloudSystem Matrix, a platform for private clouds that reduces the time it takes customers to provision complex infrastructure and applications. The solution additionally includes services from Red Hat and HP to help customers design, deploy and support cloud environments.
“We’re thrilled to be recognized by HP for our leadership in the cloud computing marketplace,” said Scott Crenshaw, vice president and general manager, Cloud Business at Red Hat. “The combination of Red Hat and HP’s leadership across the technology industry brings new capabilities to our joint customers through our joint open, converged infrastructure.”
“To manage the changing demands of their customers, organizations have to accelerate time to market and time to business value,” said Duncan Campbell, vice president, Converged Infrastructure at HP. “HP, with partners like Red Hat, helps break down rigid IT silos with infrastructure specifically engineered to drive out cost and provide the foundation for agile service delivery.”
