Liquidware Labs, the leader in desktop transformation solutions, and WhipTail
Technologies, Inc the recognized market leader in cost-effective solid-state
based storage arrays, today announced they have collaborated to offer a joint
solution to customers and partners to assist them in reaching virtual desktop
and application success.
The partnership between Liquidware Labs and WhipTail Tech allows joint
customers to both assess and understand their users’ current data traffic and
application patterns today, in the physical world ― and, ensures that they are
selecting and architecting optimal storage solutions for those users as they
migrate to desktop virtualization. Taking the guesswork out of storage sizing
and selection is a huge win for all project stakeholders ― from the data center
to the endpoint. Together, these two companies offer significant solutions for
optimized storage sizing and performance that equates to tangible cost savings,
bringing immediate value to the market.
WhipTail’s solid-state storage arrays are designed to drastically improve the
scalability and performance of applications for virtualization and a host of
other uses. Using both Stratusphere FIT and UX from Liquidware Labs, companies
engaged in pilots and proof of concepts can measure, tune, and validate one of
the most critical components of any desktop deployment – IOPS (Input/Output
Operations Per Second). In the mission to deliver premium user experience to
end-users, solid state technology is a clear winner, and its effective use also
aids TCO and ROI immediately as user density can be increased.
“As more and more workloads find their way from endpoints into data centers
and clouds, the importance of fast, scalable, and reliable storage IOPS cannot
be understated. More and more projects will evolve successfully by combining
powerful insight into your current state, with progressive solutions like
WhipTail’s,” said J. Tyler Rohrer, founder Liquidware Labs. “We are very excited
to begin collaborating together in the field for the benefit of our joint
customers.”
“The shift to a virtual desktop model comes with inherent challenges. To
recognize the ‘holy-grail TCO’ of desktop management, these issues need to be
addressed. We have had great success in the field with Liquidware Labs and their
world-class solution to assist enterprises in understanding how to optimally
architect their VDI infrastructures, with the key focus wrapped-around sizing
and IO performance,” said Brian Feller, chief marketing officer, WhipTail Tech.
“We are extremely pleased to formally announce this relationship with Liquidware
– a company who reflects a similar value-proposition as WhipTail Tech: lower
costs and increased user satisfaction.”
To further enhance customer deployments, when Liquidware Labs ProfileUnity™
user persona virtualization is used together with stateless thin provisioning
technologies like VMware View Composer or Citrix Provisioning Server, additional
density and cost savings can be realized in any VDI project.
The two companies will be presenting jointly at the upcoming VMUG in Maine on July
21st and any organization or professional services company
interested in learning how to bring Whiptail and Liquidware Labs technologies
into their projects may reach out to sales@whiptailtech.com and sales@liquidwarelabs.com
