DataCore Software to Speak at Upcoming Phoenix VMware User Group Conference on the Importance of a Storage Hypervisor for Virtualization Initiatives

DataCore Software, the industry’s premier provider of storage virtualization software, will conduct a presentation regarding storage virtualization at the upcoming VMware User Group (VMUG) in Phoenix on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel and Spa. DataCore, a Gold Sponsor of the event, will host a session titled “Architecting Your Storage Infrastructure to Yield Virtualization Objectives,” which will be delivered by Tim Warden, director of systems engineers for the Americas at DataCore Software.

During this session, attendees will learn what a storage hypervisor is and how its adoption enables organizations to achieve true high availability via real redundancy of all components. The session will also provide a fast-track curriculum and pointed architectural guidance for setting up a responsive and highly available storage infrastructure that gets the best use of existing disk assets in order to deliver the operational and financial objectives server administrators expect from their virtualization initiatives.

As part of the Data Center Track, the DataCore presentation starts at 2:45 p.m. MST and will run for 45 minutes.

Architecting Your Storage Infrastructure to Yield Virtualization Objectives Session Summary

Surprisingly, many of today’s virtualization projects suffer from unexpected I/O bottlenecks, frequent disk-related disruptions and bloated disk consumption. These problems result when dated storage doctrines are applied to newly-clustered virtual workloads.

  • Throughout this session, attendees will receive pointed architectural guidance for setting up a responsive and highly available storage infrastructure that gets the best use of existing disk assets to deliver the operational and financial objectives anticipated from virtualization initiatives.
  • Attendees will also learn how other industry peers have markedly improved their IT environments using these latest, device-independent principles.
