AppSense Names John Rego as Chief Financial Officer
AppSense, the leading provider of user virtualization technology, announced today it has named John Rego as chief financial officer. In his role, Rego will be based in New York and work closely with the AppSense executive team as they continue to focus and execute the plan for future growth.

"With John's extensive knowledge and experience with leading companies in the technology industry, we are confident his proven skill-set of managing financial success will complement AppSense's long-term financial goals," said Darron Antill, CEO of AppSense. "John will play a critical role on our executive team, further enabling AppSense to grow within the industry and continue as a leader in the user virtualization space."

Rego brings more than 28 years of executive leadership experience in building technology companies similar to AppSense. He has spent considerable time in building finance teams and in raising capital. Over the course of his career, Rego has raised over $7 billion dollars through a myriad of capital raises and completed multiple M&A transactions. Most recently, Rego served as chief financial officer and treasurer of Petra Solar, a New Jersey-based renewable energy and smart grid company.

Prior to Petra, Rego spent seven and a half years at Vonage Holdings Corp., an internet telephony provider, where he helped to grow the business from concept to approximately $900 million in annual revenues. During this time at Vonage, Rego raised over $1.3 billion in capital to fund the company's growth. He also led human resources, legal, investor relations, corporate development, accounting & finance, taxation and facilities. Rego is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and spent 15 years working with international accounting firms including KPMG and Grant Thornton. He earned his B.S. degree from Rutgers University and is a CPA in the state of New Jersey.

"The momentum and expansion that AppSense has experienced over the last few years is astounding," said Rego. "The user virtualization market has immense potential, and AppSense is in a great position to take advantage of it. With my experience and solid understanding of rapidly growing companies like AppSense, my goal is to take a balanced financial approach from an internal operator and external-facing standpoint. I am excited to be a part of the AppSense executive team and to assist in the navigation of its continued success."
