LucidLogix Cloud Gaming and Remote Graphics Infrastructure to Bring High Performance Gaming to Any Device

LucidLogix (Lucid) today announced Virtual Graphics Ware (VGWare), its new cloud graphics software that enables high-performance, AAA-quality gaming on all levels of CE devices. In addition to cloud gaming, VGWare allows for remote graphics rendering that improves the performance of a variety of client/server applications.

The Lucid VGWare Cloud based infrastructure is an adaptive client-server remote graphics engine, which consists of massively scalable software that allows multiple concurrent applications, such as games, to run on a remote server in the Cloud or data center. This server is then able to stream these applications to client devices such as tablets, internet ready TVs, smartphones and more.

“Now is the time for a software like VGWare, as bandwidth has increased, WiFi hotspots are every ware and streaming media is simpler than ever,” said Offir Remez, Lucid co-founder and president. “With VGWare, we’ve leveled the device playing field making power-hungry GPUs on mobile devices a thing of the past.”

In addition to remote graphics for gaming, VGWare can allow other power-hungry applications to be hosted on the server, like media and entertainment Cloud applications, as well as business software and even desktop Operating Systems.

VGWare is a massively scalable and feature-rich Cloud gaming infrastructure ideal for:

  • Concurrent gaming on a single game server
  • On demand gaming solutions, with low latency and maximum GPU & CPU utilization
  • Professional applications hosted on the server, accessed from anywhere
  • Improving accessibility and performance to tablets, smartphones, connected TVs, desktops and notebooks

Lucid Virtu software product line refined the meaning of performance, quality and responsiveness in PC and notebook gaming and video, allowing millions of consumers to get the most out of the hardware that they own. Now with VGWare, LucidLogix extends this quality experience to any device with a graphics processor.
