EMC Corporation will provide customers with a unique opportunity to gain practical guidance from
EMC Solution experts and their peers, and view real-time demonstrations to
accelerate their journey to the cloud (private, public and, ultimately, hybrid
clouds) at the Cisco Live London 2012 conference at ICC London ExCeL in London
(Jan. 30 - Feb. 3). Cloud computing is transforming IT infrastructure,
applications and end-user device layers, ushering in a wave of disruptive change
unlike anything the industry has ever experienced.
Key opportunities to listen, learn and gain hands-on experience:
- EMC and VCE Live Demo: Experts will showcase how Vblock(TM) Infrastructure
Platforms from VCE and EMC VPLEX® enable fast and easy application mobility and
infrastructure migration in real-time with no downtime or disruption. Utilizing
VMware vMotion(TM) and Cisco Data Center Interconnect networking technologies,
the "booth hopping" demo will illustrate how the solution removes the physical
barriers within, across, and between data centers to facilitate application
mobility, high availability, data center resizing, consolidation and relocation,
technology refresh, and workload balancing. This solution provides mobility and
high availability to virtual applications, virtual machines, virtual networks,
and virtual storage. VPLEX is also certified to implement vSphere Metro Storage
Cluster (vMSC) for mainstreaming VMware stretched cluster configurations and
creating highly available VMware environments over distance.
- EMC Booth (#P2): Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss best
practices and see demonstrations of technology integrations between EMC, Cisco
and VCE, as well as meet with subject matter experts to discuss challenges and
opportunities they're experiencing with cloud computing. EMC Global Services
will highlight capabilities and offerings to accelerate the journey to the cloud
and help IT staff transform themselves into next-generation Cloud Architects and
Data Scientists.
- VCE (booth #P4): VCE, a converged infrastructure product and solutions
company formed by Cisco and EMC with investments from VMware and Intel, will
showcase the capabilities of its Vblock Infrastructure Platforms. Available
through a comprehensive ecosystem of partners, Vblock Platforms deliver a
complete IT infrastructure that integrates best-of-breed virtualization,
networking, compute, storage, security, and management technologies.
- Sessions: EMC technical speakers joined by partners and customers who will
share their real experiences and provide practical guidance on how they are
virtualizing their data centers with EMC and Cisco. Key sessions include
"Transform your Data Center with Technology from EMC and Cisco," Tuesday at
11:15 and "Best of Breed Virtual Infrastructure: Driving Value from a Global
Platform Strategy Based on a Cisco and EMC infrastructure," Thursday at 2:30.
- EMC VNXe On Stage In The Cisco Live Keynote: EMC VNXe unified storage will be
featured during the opening keynote by Padmasree Warrior, Cisco's Chief
Technology Officer and SVP Engineering, Tuesday, Jan. 31, 9:30 - 10:45. This
live demonstration will highlight Cisco's architectural approach to innovation,
its focus on building the Intelligent Network direction of Cisco and why 'good
enough' storage is not good enough.
- Ask The Expert - Cisco Live London Virtual: Wednesday, Feb. 1, 10.00 - 11.00
join us as we explore EMC and Cisco services and validated solutions that help
customers optimize their data center infrastructure for virtualization and cloud
computing.
"Cloud computing is no longer a matter of debate with customers," said Jeremy Burton, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, EMC. "The urgency
has shifted from 'should I build a cloud infrastructure?' to 'how can I take
advantage of cloud as quickly and efficiently as possible?' EMC is committed to
accelerating our customers' journey to private, public or hybrid clouds through
the freedom of choice. Whether customers choose to go a-la-carte or use a
converged infrastructure as the backbone, EMC offers choice and flexibility with
EMC Proven solutions and industry-leading integration with the leading storage,
security, hypervisors, applications, network and servers and Vblock
Infrastructure Platforms."
