VMTurbo Delivers 5th Consecutive Quarter of Growth as Need for Intelligent Workload Management in Virtual Data Centers Increases

VMTurbo, the leading provider of intelligent workload management software for cloud and virtualized environments, today announced it has experienced significant license revenue growth driven by a record first quarter – the 5th consecutive quarter of growth for the company. The company also tripled participation in its Global Partner Program and continued to invest in its leadership position by increasing its workforce by nearly 40 percent, with many of the additional resources focused on product development.

In the rapidly growing virtualization management market, projected as a $1.4 billion market in the next three years, VMTurbo delivers an intelligent and automated control plane for cloud and virtualized data centers. Easy to deploy and simple to administer, VMTurbo Operations Manager ensures application performance, operational efficiency and optimal resource utilization. Since its initial release in October 2010, the VMTurbo platform has been deployed by more than 4,000 cloud service providers and enterprises worldwide to gain greater control and prevent performance issues across their virtual infrastructure. The company and its product have matured rapidly in the first quarter of 2012 to meet the demanding needs of the market.

“2011 was an exceptional year for VMTurbo that resulted in record growth not only in revenue but in deployments as well; as we finalize the first quarter of 2012, we see this momentum and product demand only increasing,” said Lou Shipley, president and CEO at VMTurbo. “The remarkable growth that VMTurbo has experienced only highlights the significant market shift to customers recognizing a better way to manage virtualized data centers, and we see this as a tremendous opportunity to continue being a leader in the space.”

Other milestones include:

  • Product enhancement – In January 2012, VMTurbo announced version 3.0 of its platform, delivering cloud-scale management and integrating with vCloud Director, expanding heterogeneous hypervisor support to include Citrix XenServer and adding new application performance assurance capabilities
  • Channel growth – The company increased its footprint in both North America and EMEA with additional partners such as CDW, ePlus Technology, Integrated Data Storage and Computacenter
  • Rapidly growing customer base – Several new customers have deployed VMTurbo including Acronis, Asurion, VeriSign, Global Net Access, Philadelphia Insurance and YouSendIt

Additionally, VMTurbo moved their head office in March to a 12,000-square-foot office in Burlington, quadrupling its previous office space to accommodate for their expanding workforce.
