VirtualSharp Software Announces Strong Customer and Channel Demand for Automated Disaster Recovery Solutions Since Launch at CloudBeat

VirtualSharp Software, the leading provider of next generation automated Disaster Recovery solutions for private and public clouds, today announced record momentum since it launched the third generation of ReliableDR at CloudBeat last November.

"We are witnessing an acceleration of mission-critical applications being ported to enterprise clouds across all sectors, geographies and company sizes," said Carlos Escapa, Co-Founder and CEO of VirtualSharp Software. "Clouds are complex and difficult to manage; our technology's ability to manage RTO and RPO automatically removes complexity, cost and worry. We're now seeing enterprises doing as many as 12 Disaster Recovery tests per day for mission-critical apps which is evidence that the automation is giving an answer to a latent need to protect applications and to demonstrate compliance."

New customer wins and deployments that showcase the benefits of VirtualSharp Software's ReliableDR and its growing adoption by enterprises of all sizes around the world:

"Prior to VirtualSharp Software's ReliableDR, each Disaster Recovery test took a long time to prepare for and it took a huge effort to get all of our systems up and tested over a weekend," said Henry Mayorga, Manager Network Technology, Baron Funds. "With ReliableDR, we can now test the recoverability of our critical systems on a fully automated, daily basis and detailed reporting provides us with all of the information we need to demonstrate compliance."

"We chose ReliableDR from VirtualSharp Software as it enables us to significantly reduce the time and money spent on Disaster Recovery testing and provides a guarantee that our RPO and RTO SLAs can be achieved from an application perspective," said Steve Wright, IT Infrastructure Team Leader at Charles Taylor Insurance. "The unique ability to conduct continuous, non-disruptive Disaster Recovery tests led us to select ReliableDR ahead of other technologies available in the marketplace."

"As a bank, the nature of our business means that we must be able to quickly restore IT services at the push of a button, be it because of an internal exercise, an external audit or an unforeseen data center outage," said Paul Timmermans, Managing Director at Van Lanschot Belgium. "As a result, our Disaster Recovery strategy cannot fail to deliver and this is why we chose VirtualSharp Software's ReliableDR -- because it lets us run non-disruptive, frequent, scheduled Disaster Recovery tests to ensure that a successful service recovery is always assured."

"Sympagis needed a concept which could speed-up the recovery of an IT environment so we contacted VirtualSharp to build a Proof of Concept (POC) together on our development environment. We had the POC running within a day with the help of their support engineers," said Marco Boot, Director of Service Delivery at Sympagis BV. "In addition we started to tune the environment and were very pleased we could bring back the RTO and RPO to under one hour for the complete environment. As a bonus on top of our requirements, we were able to certify every replica by running automated tests. Knowing that the replicas work is a great feature for each of our customers that will save lots of time and money as the IT administrator doesn't have to do these tests manually."

"We have chosen VirtualSharp's ReliableDR to automate contingency planning, in particular to be 100% sure that our recovery processes are kept up to date, with an RTO measured and documented," said Felipe Alonso, CIO at Greater Pamplona Council. "We are very satisfied by the integration both with VMware and our NetApp infrastructure."

In February at VMware's Partner Exchange 2012 (PEX2012), VirtualSharp Software launched its global partner program - V#P Partner program. The program now has 45 partners across North America, EMEA and APAC.
