WorldDesk Integrates with Box to Power Mobile Productivity

WorldDesk, a leading provider of desktop visualization software, has today announced a key collaboration with Box to deliver a version of the WorldDesk for You platform that will allow for cloud-based desktop delivery on Box Business and Enterprise accounts. The announcement was made at the start of the second day of the LeWeb conference, where Box yesterday announced the opening of their first international headquarters in central London.

The WorldDesk-Box integration will allow Box Business and Box Enterprise users to access and store their personalized desktop - including all their files, settings and applications – on Box’s open platform.

Speaking following the announcement, Rao Cherukuri, WorldDesk CEO said: “Over 120,000 businesses, including 82% of the Fortune 500, use Box to manage critical content in the cloud. Box is a natural partner for WorldDesk and we’re delighted with today’s announcement. Both Box and WorldDesk are focused on mobility and the provision of a great user experience to business customers. With the WorldDesk-Box integration, the business and enterprise user can now safely and securely access their personalized desktop anytime, anywhere, via the cloud."

“Box’s core focus is to make it possible for individuals and businesses alike to easily share, access and manage content via the cloud. The Box-WorldDesk integration means that it’s no longer just your content but your personalized desktop and applications too. It’s clear that Box understand the needs of their enterprise clients and the individual end-users within such organizations. We’re delighted to develop this latest release alongside Box and we expect the platform will reflect those key insights and understandings."

Jonathan Chesney, WorldDesk Product Manager concluded by saying: “From a WorldDesk perspective, in catering for Box Business, we’re demonstrating the potential that exists for small businesses to deploy enterprise class business services via platforms such as Box. In the coming months we’ll be looking to expand further our partner program, developing our compatibility with other key enterprise platforms and services, and as always, we would like to hear from you, our users, with any additional platform or feature requests.”
