Aternity Teams up with Teradici Enabling Real End User Experience Management for VMware
Aternity Inc ., the industry's leader in end user experience management solutions for Fortune 1000 enterprises, announced today support for Teradici's PC-over-IP (PCoIP) protocol in Aternity's Frontline Performance Intelligence Platform. The integration provides IT stakeholders with comprehensive visibility into exactly how virtualized desktop and remote workstation users are experiencing critical application performance, while proactively detecting when performance degradations occur. By correlating PCoIP latency with the actual business transaction response times and the VM image's health, Aternity and Teradici provide organizations with an in-depth understanding of application performance within the VMware View environment, exactly as experienced by their users themselves.

"We are excited to partner with Teradici, a leading industry innovator in desktop virtualization," said Trevor Matz, president and CEO of Aternity. "Aternity's integration with the PCoIP protocol further extends the benefits of real end user experience management by providing organizations with a multi-dimensional view into the performance of their VMware View environment as perceived by virtualized desktop and remote workstation users."

In addition to the PCoIP latency monitoring and proactive detection when performance degrades, customers and partners will also benefit from deep analytics around key PCoIP metrics, such as Image Quality, Round Trip Latency, Packet Lost Percentage, Available Network Bandwidth, and many other performance impacting factors.

"Aternity's support for the PCoIP protocol in the Frontline Performance Intelligence Platform provides organizations with a powerful tool for measuring the quality of the end-user experience," said Dan Cordingley, CEO of Teradici. "By providing detailed PCoIP protocol statistics such as latency and transaction response times, IT professionals will ensure they have deep visibility into application performance and user experience."
