Lenovo Selects MokaFive as its Exclusive Partner for Intelligent Desktop Virtualization

Lenovo Services Group has selected MokaFive BareMetal as the exclusive OEM solution for the new Lenovo Think Centre M92p and M72e “tiny” desktop PCs across China.

Lenovo computers will be shipped loaded with BareMetal, MokaFive's Type-I hypervisor solution. The hardware/software duo provides control over the entire desktop stack, combined with seven layers of security, and a rich user experience.

Easier to deploy and much less expensive than virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), MokaFive is the only virtualization solution that allows IT to centrally manage, update, and secure an entire distributed desktop environment from a single console. Users enjoy a rich, native experience and offline use.

A few other benefits of MokaFive's BareMetal solution include:

  • Single-image management. With MokaFive, IT admins can use one single "golden" image for every computer in the enterprise, regardless of platform.
  • Tight security. A host of security features—including remote wipe and kill, two-factor authentication, and AES-256 encryption—make BareMetal impenetrable to threats, hacks, and data leaks.
  • User self-recovery. A self-service "rejuvenation" feature lets users restore a malware-infected or corrupted desktop without any help from IT, saving big bucks on support costs.

“Our ThinkCentre desktops are designed to meet all the needs of today’s professional users, and MokaFive BareMetal extends that to include secure remote access to corporate data and resources for users,” said Lin Lin, general manager, Lenovo Services Group. “From an IT perspective, MokaFive software solves many of today’s most challenging and complex IT challenges our business customers are facing—desktop management for an increasingly mobile workforce, data security, and the ability to easily provision and de-provision employees or contractors.”

"Lenovo is synonymous with high-performance enterprise PCs, so adding our software for secure remote access to corporate assets was a very natural fit,” said Dale Fuller, CEO, MokaFive. “We are also thrilled that Lenovo Services will be distributing MokaFive software in its single largest market, China. This speaks volumes as to how the industry is recognizing the benefits of MokaFive.”
