Pivot3, a leading provider of converged storage and compute appliances, today announced the addition of Marc Zionts and Donna Troy to its Board of Directors. Both executives bring a strong track record in building and scaling successful businesses similar to Pivot3. Mr. Zionts is a leading telecom executive and entrepreneur, who has repeatedly developed and commercialized emerging technologies in high growth markets throughout his career. Ms. Troy brings more than 35 years of experience leading global go-to-market strategy development and execution at companies such as Dell, SAP, McAfee and IBM.
Marc Zionts – Mr. Zionts is VP of strategic mobile service providers at Allot Communications Ltd., having served as CEO of Ortiva Wireless, Inc. until its acquisition by Allot in May 2012. Previously, Mr. Zionts served as CEO of FastMobile Inc., where he oversaw its sale to Research in Motion in 2007. Focused on disruptive technologies in high-growth markets, he has more than 20 years of entrepreneurial and executive experience.
Donna Troy – Ms. Troy was most recently the VP and GM of enterprise solutions, public large enterprise worldwide, at Dell. Having spent three years most recently at Dell, and three years before that at SAP, Ms. Troy brings extensive leadership and expertise in the formulation and execution of partner-based go-to-market strategies that accelerate growth, customer success, and expansion of enterprise value.
Technical Advisory Board
In addition to these appointments, Pivot3 has also formed a Strategic Advisory Board, providing the company with a seasoned and diverse set of perspectives on industry trends, guidance toward shaping the company’s growth plans, and a means of extending its network of relationships across its served markets. The Board’s current members are: Vic Mahadevan (NetApp), Derrell James (Xerox Global Services), Bob O’Malley (SED) and Praveen Mandal (SGI).
