Nick Stamos,
CEO and Igor Odnovorov, CTO, the co-founders of nCryptedCloud bring over twenty
years of Fortune 2000 enterprise data security expertise to cloud data privacy
for consumers and corporations.
nCryptedCloud
uses Client Side Encryption technology to protect the privacy on their Dropbox
data.
"We know
that a significant number of Dropbox users have publicly asked for Client Side
Encryption for some time now," says Stamos.
"We decided to pair this request with Private Secure Collaboration to ensure
that Dropbox users can maintain the full functionality of the product they so
love while protecting the privacy of their data.
Private Secure
Collaboration is a feature that allows users to share files and folders
privately across Security Boundaries. Another first, is that users can setup
this secure collaboration on their own, without needing IT support, as they
would traditionally for alternatives like a secure FTP server or a Virtual Data
Room.
Odnovorov
explained " Dropbox users want to share in both an open and closed environment,
so we decided to allow the owner of the data the ability to limit the
collaboration to a distinct group of users" The result was Private Trusted Circles"
"Amazingly
simple yet brilliant," says Laura Didio, Principal Analyst for ITIC.
