Amazon's Chief Evangelist to deliver cloud presentation to UK tech professionals

Amazon Web Services’ distinguished Chief Evangelist, Jeff Barr, has confirmed his position as a keynote speaker at the 5th Annual Cloud World Forum (, taking place at Olympia National Hall in London, on 26th and 27th June 2013.

Barr joins an illustrious speaker line-up that includes Adrian Gardner, CIO of NASA, Dr. Jeff Jaffe, CEO of the World Wide Web Consortium, Dana Deasy, CIO of BP and Oskar Stål, CTO of Spotify, as well as over 200 fellow leading cloud experts giving presentations at the show.

The conference will bring together over 5,000 senior IT professionals from across the globe to discuss the impact of cloud computing on the enterprise.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is regarded by many as the world’s leading cloud computing provider, having established a global network of data centres that deliver compute power and cloud capability to hundreds of thousands of customers, in more than 190 countries.

Jeff Barr’s role at AWS involves furthering awareness among software developers of the opportunity to innovate and build businesses using Amazon Web Services.

He is also renowned for his role with AWS blog where he has posted over 1,500 entries, arming customers with the technical insights required in their bid to bring cloud services to their organisation via AWS’s infrastructure. His talk at Cloud World Forum will centre around the latest updates to the AWS platform, taking place at 12.20pm on Day Two of the show.
