Dell has released version 8 of its VDI connection broker vWorkspace. This is the first release of the product under the Dell brand. If you remember, Quest was acquired by Dell back in September last year.
Dell vWorkspace 8.0 can further help you drive down the cost of desktop virtualization deployments. This latest release adds full support for Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8, and improves the user experience through integration with RemoteFX (RDP8).
Some of the key highlights include:
- User experience boost with lower bandwidth requirement - Benefit from vWorkspace EOP integrating with RDP8 and all other new functionality introduced in Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 with full support for these Windows platforms in vWorkspace 8.0.
- Storage cost reduction and RD Session Host HyperCache - The Hyper-V Catalyst Components have been updated in vWorkspace 8.0 to realize significant storage savings, make RD Session Host even more cost-efficient and increase RD Session Host performance.
