AppSense, a leader in people-centric computing, today announced that the Fujitsu
Global Delivery Centre in Kazan, Russia has been recognised as the first
AppSense Centre of Excellence for global User Virtualization deployments.
Standardising globally on AppSense User Virtualization, the Virtual Client
Services (VCS) offering enables Fujitsu to provide a blended service of both
physical and virtual desktops that supports anywhere, anytime, any device
flexibility. VCS delivers a compelling end-user experience and reduced costs
while creating the agility to meet the new trends around Consumerisation of IT
and BYOD. Fujitsu VCS delivers desktop and application virtualization providing
users the freedom to use any device safely and securely across corporate
applications and data.
"CIOs face a
changing environment with increased demands for end user services. VCS allows
more flexibility for the user while providing IT with the necessary controls
over corporate environments. Our partnership with AppSense allows Fujitsu to
deliver a blended service focused on the user and not the underlying technology
or device," said Cameron McNaught, Senior Vice President, Cloud and Strategic
Solutions, International Business, Fujitsu.
Integrating
standard User Virtualization practices, Fujitsu Global Delivery Centres have
streamlined and established a scalable global application strategy within
Fujitsu's global business. The creation of a global application store further
reduces the cost and speed of delivery of desktop transformation projects.
Standardisation of User Virtualization services enables Fujitsu to package an
application once with the opportunity to deliver it many
times.
As the first
recognised AppSense Centre of Excellence, Fujitsu is demonstrating its
commitment to delivering standardised services around VCS on a global basis.
Fujitsu's Global Delivery Centres feature highly skilled technical specialists
that are proven and certified to deliver standard AppSense services within the
VCS offering. Onboarding of Certified AppSense Trainers within Fujitsu further
allows the education and standardisation of the global distribution of User
Virtualization knowledge across the business.
"Fujitsu
understands the value of User Virtualization and has defined a global best
practice approach within their business," said Nick Lowe, Vice President of
Sales and General Manager of EMEA, APAC at AppSense. "We value our partnership
and remain committed to supporting Fujitsu Virtual Client Services which
provides a customer's IT with the necessary controls while enabling their users
with seamless roaming across any device with a consistent user
experience."
The Consumerisation
of IT has expanded how workers define the desktop by embracing personal choices
and mobility to increase productivity while requiring access to corporate
information anytime, anywhere. AppSense enables organisations to implement
solutions for a range of challenges including
Windows 7 Migration,
Desktop Optimisation,
BYOD and
User Rights Management. AppSense offers a family of
user virtualization products including
