6fusion Expands Global Operations to Asia Pacific

6fusion, the company standardizing economic measurement of IT infrastructure and enabling a global marketplace for buyers and sellers, and CloudFX, Asia's most innovative technology advisory firm, today announced an agreement to enable, deliver, and support 6fusion’s open IT infrastructure services and marketplace in the Asia Pacific market.

CloudFX will serve as an extension of 6fusion’s services team in Asia Pacific, providing technical delivery and advisory, sales, on-boarding, and support services across 6fusion’s entire portfolio of products and services.

6fusion’s patent-pending metering algorithm, the Workload Allocation Cube (WAC), is the industry’s first commercial standard metric to quantify supply and demand for compute resources across heterogeneous physical, virtual and cloud environments. IT infrastructure metering, reporting and management capabilities are accessed via 6fusion’s online marketplace at, where customers and suppliers can also buy and sell contracts for on-demand IT infrastructure.

“6fusion’s vision is to enable an open marketplace for buyers and sellers of on-demand IT infrastructure and this vision is global,” said 6fusion CEO John Cowan. “CloudFX shares this vision for the future of IT delivery and they will serve as a very important partner in the enablement and delivery of services in Asia Pacific.”

“6fusion offers a truly unique technology system to not just establish how customers can measure and compare the cost of IT service delivery in a physical, private or public cloud setting, but how customers can take action by engaging an open public marketplace,” said Damian Crotty, CEO and President, CloudFX. “We see how 6fusion’s technology will change the game in our industry and we look forward to helping both customers and partners achieve great results in the Asia Pacific market.”

Cloud services in Asia Pacific are growing rapidly, particularly Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings, including server, storage, and infrastructure management solutions. According to IDC, IaaS in Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) is expected to be a $6.2 billion market in 2013, growing to a $13.5 billion market in 2016, over 21% compound annual growth rate (CAGR).

CloudFX is headquartered in Singapore with customers across the entire Asia Pacific region. CloudFX has formed strategic partnerships with all of the tier one technology vendors across Asia Pacific, and has grown rapidly across ASEAN and into Australia and Japan, with customers in the Fortune 500, as well as some of Asia's most successful brands.
