Whitepaper: Doubling VM Density with Flash

One of the most common roadblocks encountered in virtualization deployments is slow disk I/O.  Server virtualization randomizes all workloads - even sequential - creating the dreaded "I/O Blender" which quickly consumes disk I/O capabilities.

Memory attached flash helps eliminate the "I/O Blender" that hobbles disk-powered virtualization environments. By integrating flash as a cache for existing SAN and NAS storage, companies can improve virtualization performance and double VM density - even when virtualizing mission critical applications-and while preserving VM mobility features such as vMotion, HA, and DRS that simplify maintenance and improve uptime.
