IT leaders from financial giants including Credit Suisse and Morgan
Stanley will debate the use of cloud computing in the financial sector
at the 5th Annual Cloud World Forum – www.cloudwf.com – taking place in London on 26th-27th June.
On Day 2 of the event (27th June), the Strategy Theatre will dedicate
a whole afternoon to discuss the main issues regarding cloud security
in the financial and banking sectors, with special attention to subjects
such as risk management, confidential data storage, services
improvement, cost reduction, and much more.
The dedicated afternoon, expected to be attended by financial sector
IT leaders from across Europe, kicks off at 1:30pm, with a session
entitled “What Banks Need to Know When Considering a Move to the Cloud” ,
highlighting where and when banks can draw on the flexibility that
cloud offers, while still protecting the business long-term.
The final session at 4:20pm “Banking on Compliance: Regulating Cloud
Across Shared Platforms”, will discuss banks that outsource
business-critical functions by placing them into a cloud environment but
still need to retain the ability to assess, supervise and enforce
provider performance, manage risks through appropriate contractual
remedies, and maintain the security of and access to data.
