Veeam Software, innovative
provider of backup, replication and virtualization management solutions
for VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V, today announced it has been
positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the "Visionaries" quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup/Recovery Software.
This is Veeam's first time being included in the Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup/Recovery Software,
which represents a significant milestone in the company's growth.
According to the report, "As the backup/recovery software market
comprises several dozens, if not hundreds, of vendors, this report
narrows it down to those that have strong presence in large enterprise
environments, in part measured by Gartner search analytics and Gartner
end user inquiry."
"We believe our inclusion in this year's Magic Quadrant is further
confirmation of Veeam's success in providing large enterprise customers
with powerful, easy-to-use and affordable data protection solutions
built for virtualization," said Ratmir Timashev, President and CEO of
Veeam. "We'll provide further evidence of our enterprise capabilities
with next quarter's release of
Veeam Backup & Replication v7
and its two disruptive innovations - built-in WAN acceleration and the
ability to back up from storage snapshots - plus seven other
market-leading features and more than 50 additional new features and
enhancements. We truly enable IT to tackle their ‘3C' problems with
capabilities, complexity and cost."
