Telehouse to exhibit Virtual DPR service at Cloud World Forum 2013

Telehouse, the leading global data centre provider, will be exhibiting its Telecloud solution portfolio at stand 4070 at Cloud World Forum 2013 taking place on the 26th and 27th June 2013.

Now in its fifth year, Cloud World Forum is considered to be one of the leading Cloud and Enterprise IT events with 150 exhibitors and 5000+ attendees. Bringing together over 220 speakers from all cloud and IT disciplines, the show will open up the discussion on the key opportunities and challenges facing the cloud and IT industry in 2014 and beyond.

Launched in 2012, Telehouse now provide virtual and cloud services to clients hosting their applications in their internet data centres. Telehouse will showcase their new Telecloud Virtual Data Protection and Recovery (DPR) service, which offers customers the opportunity to cut their disaster recovery and storage costs by up to 90%. Targeted at radically simplifying enterprise disaster recovery and storage through virtualisation, Telehouse make disaster recovery and backup affordable.

The launch of the Telecloud DPR service comes off the back of recent IDC data which has shown that copy data volumes and cost is growing at five times the rate of production data, meaning enterprises are faced with a storage explosion. This is reinforced by recent customer research which found that organisations hosted in Telehouse considered disaster recovery and virtualisation as a key ICT priority for the next 12 months.

Michelle Reid, Telehouse EMEA Board Director comments, “The role of Telehouse has transformed from a hosting data centre facility to a partner that can work with its clients to use their footprints efficiently to future-proof their IT strategy. Copy data management is a highly substantial, yet less talked about ICT challenge, especially since copy data consumes 60% of disk capacity and 85% of hardware spend.”

Telehouse representatives will be present on the stand to discuss a variety of infrastructure and connectivity subjects, including its 45 global data centres, networks, systems integration and cloud services.
