Virtual Bridges, Inc. today announced the appointment of Mike LaPeters as vice president of worldwide sales, to drive the expansion of the company’s direct and channel efforts into new markets worldwide.

Prior to VeloBit, he was vice president of North American sales for AVG Technologies, with overall responsibility for the company’s SMB business. LaPeters joined AVG from CA Technologies, where he was vice president of channels and drove $75M in annual recovery management revenue through a channel of 3,300 VARs. He also served as vice president of worldwide sales and services for Core Security and vice president of worldwide sales for Winternals (acquired by Microsoft) and held roles at VERITAS, Seagate Software and Arcada.

“Mike brings a wealth of experience in building enterprise, mid-market and international channels,” said Sam Cece, CEO of Virtual Bridges. “His insight and expertise will be invaluable as we expand our reach into new and emerging markets to deliver on the promise of desktop-as-a-service.
