Dirk Luthro Joins Virtual Bridges as Chief Financial Officer

Virtual Bridges, Inc. today announced the appointment of Dirk Luthro as chief financial officer. He will lead global financial operations for the company, including planning, financial reporting, accounting, human resources and operations.

Luthro brings more than 20 years of experience in finance and accounting, most recently serving as CFO of Alereon, a fabless semiconductor company where he was responsible for all finance, accounting, HR, IT, legal, facilities and administration. Throughout his career, Luthro has been directly involved in venture fundraising, complex global financial reporting, M&A, overseas expansions, and managing Wall Street relationships.  He has served in financial leadership roles for several companies and has deep experience across both hardware and software industries.

“Dirk’s hands on experience and track record managing finance and operations in high growth companies are exactly what we need as we enter this next stage,” said Sam Cece, CEO of Virtual Bridges. “With Dirk on board, we’re in a great position to shake up this industry, focusing on our long-term strategy that will deliver real value for customers. Dirk will be an asset to our team and will play a key role in the next era of growth at Virtual Bridges.”

Prior to Aleron, Luthro held roles as vice president of finance at Applied Science Fiction and finance capital manager at Intel Corporation. He began his career developing and monitoring technology solutions as a business analyst at Merrill Lynch. Luthro holds an MBA from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Florida.

“As I talk to people throughout the industry, consumerization and security are by far two of the most significant challenges that IT professionals are facing. The opportunity to join Virtual Bridges, a company that is leading the charge in addressing these concerns, is something that I couldn’t pass up,” said Luthro. “With Virtual Bridges’ technical expertise and long-term vision, I believe the company is in a great position to capitalize on this market demand. I am thrilled to be part of the company and look forward to working with Sam and the entire team.”
