Executive Changes at Embotics - New CEO and CTO

Embotics, a leading provider of Cloud Management Software, officially announced today the addition of two new senior executives to the company: Michael L. Torto as Chief Executive Officer and John Ross as Chief Technology Officer. The announcement comes as Embotics also reports that since fiscal year 2013 it has more than doubled its customer base and revenue. Jay Litkey, Embotics Founder and President, will focus on the company’s business development strategy.

Both Mr. Torto and Mr. Ross have been working with the Embotics Board and its Executives on the company’s strategy for several months, charged with creating and operationalizing the company’s exciting new vision—one that promises to quickly deliver a substantial and transformative step in making IT as a Service (ITaaS) a reality. Embotics will soon unveil its latest version of its vCommander software, as well as a revolutionary Cloud Broker Enablement Platform.

Mr. Torto, the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, is a highly experienced technology company CEO with over 25 years of executive leadership. Mr. Torto’s experience is global, having led both private and public companies of varying sizes, stages and locations, to eventual liquidity.

For the past four years, Mr. Torto was the President and CEO of rPath—a cloud based computing company that was founded by Ex-Red Hat Executives and acquired by global giant SAS Institute. Mr. Torto also led SWAN International from an early stage company to one that returned over $1 billion for investors.

Mr. Ross, the company’s new Chief Technology Officer, has spent the past two decades as a senior executive in IT, specializing in bringing new products to market such as Citrix and VMware, and creating leading-edge service offerings. His expertise in aiding companies to redefine solutions and product portfolios, has transformed a multitude of companies into global leaders.

Most recently, Mr. Ross was the CTO of GreenPages Technology Solutions, which is recognized as one of the top VMware partners in the country. During his tenure at Alternative Technology, a Denver based distributor, Mr. Ross developed several strategic offerings that enabled channel partners and customers to rapidly consume disruptive technologies, and enabled partners to adopt new business models and services.

Howard Sutton, Managing Partner at Tera Capital and Chairman of the Board of Embotics, commented: “After an exhaustive search in a field of highly qualified candidates, we are delighted that Michael and John have agreed to take on the roles of CEO and CTO respectively at Embotics. They are seasoned executives with significant experience in guiding cloud based software technology companies, and they are the right combination to lead the company through the next stages of its growth strategy.”
