Alert Logic Locks in Security-as-a-Service with AWS GovCloud

Locking in its reputation as the leading provider of Security-as-a-Service solutions for the cloud, Alert Logic (www.alertlogic.com) today announced availability of Threat Manager and Log Manager for customers in AWS GovCloud (U.S.).

Alert Logic's network intrusion detection and SEIM offerings will help proactively identify and neutralize broad-based threats targeted at cloud-based government data.

Acting as an isolated AWS Region for U.S. agencies and their customers to virtualize sensitive workloads, AWS GovCloud addresses stringent government regulatory and compliance requirements. The framework is targeted at recent government initiatives focused on reducing capital expenses related to Federal IT.

Available immediately for AWS GovCloud customers:

  • Threat Manager provides 24x7 network threat detection, leveraging a patented expert system driven by global threat data to pinpoint security threats.
  • Log Manager seamlessly collects, stores, correlates and reports on log data in the cloud, generating a unified view of data for full security and compliance.

All products are backed by SSAE-16 SOC certified infrastructure, Alert Logic's 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC) staffed with US Person, GIAC certified security analysts, and a patented big-data analytics engine that provides Global Threat Visibility.

"With Security-as-a-Service as our core focus, we've developed the most comprehensive solutions to protect organizations against the most serious cloud threats," said Dave Colesante, Alert Logic Senior Vice President of Product Development and CTO. "We are pleased to help government agencies more quickly and effectively address their shared responsibility at AWS GovCloud."

The AWS GovCloud (U.S.) region adheres to U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as well as the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMPSM) requirements. FedRAMP is a U.S. government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. AWS GovCloud (U.S.) has received an Agency Authorization to Operate (ATO) from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) utilizing a FedRAMP accredited Third Party Assessment Organization (3PAO).
