Framehawk, Inc., an innovative start-up providing an application virtualization platform for mobile environments, today announced that it has become a technology partner in the AirWatch Marketplace.
Framehawk enables enterprises to mobilize their corporate applications without sacrificing performance or user experience, providing IT with the policy controls it needs to secure and manage corporate data for virtualized applications. By integrating with the AirWatch platform, Framehawk can apply relevant policies on mobile devices.
Framehawk's platform means existing applications of all types, including "thick" Windows client/server applications and web applications using any technology, can be quickly and easily mobilized without requirements for redevelopment or any changes to the applications. The applications are run in a secure container that can be deployed in the public cloud, private cloud or in a virtual appliance in an organization's data center.
Framehawk's app automatically supports many user experience enhancements to support touch and gestures without putting any data on the mobile device itself. The architecture also enables fast, secure delivery of new applications, such as the latest HTML5 web apps, without browser compatibility issues or requiring VPN to be deployed on the device.
"We are excited about our new partnership with AirWatch," said Peter Badger, co-founder and CEO of Framehawk. "With BYOD and the dramatic increase in mobile use within the enterprise, IT needs to minimize the risk of data leakage across their entire portfolio of applications. The combination of Framehawk and AirWatch allows just that."
"AirWatch customers continue to look for ways to enable increased productivity for their workforce and improve business processes through mobility," said Kevin Keith, director of business development, AirWatch. "AirWatch's advanced application management secures corporate content in mobile applications and our partnership with Framehawk's application virtualization platform will allow customers to mobilize existing enterprise applications based on their mobility strategy."
