The 2013 VMware Fling Contest
has been open for a number of weeks now. Have you heard about it? If not, don't worry. The contest may have already started, but there is plenty of time for you to get your thinking caps on and get those creative juices flowing! The contest will remain open for submissions through November 15.
Do you have an idea on how certain features or
functionality could be improved upon within a VMware virtualization environment? Is there an application or tool that you've been waiting for that will make your everyday life at work that much easier? Is there a common, repetitive task that you wish could be automated to make your virtualization management more streamlined? Or do you need assistance with decision making in your environment?
Chances are, if you have a problem, an issue, or a need that can make your VMware environment easier to manage and more productive, someone else has that challenge as well.
So... let's dream something up and see it become a reality. Join in this 2013 VMware Fling contest, and you could be a winner! The winning entry will win a free pass to VMworld 2014. And on top of that, the VMware engineering team will turn that Fling idea into reality! How cool will it be to see your idea made into a Fling for everyone in the VMware community to enjoy?
Last
year, VMware received more than 120 submissions. And the winning idea resulted in an awesome fling called "Pro-Active DRS." So far this year, more than 80 ideas have been submitted, and there is still plenty of time left for more creativity and imagination.

Pass it on! The more people that know about it, the more ideas that can be shared. And the better the ultimate Fling.
