Leading
VMware Service Provider StratoGen is pleased to announce the availability of its
services through the UK Government's G-Cloud 4 Framework. 39,000 government
organisations that are eligible to buy through the Government Procurement
Service CloudStore will now have full access to StratoGen's product
portfolio.
The
Cloud Store is a new way for Government to buy cloud IT products and services -
an online catalogue of cloud based IT services available to the public sector.
G-Cloud streamlines the procurement process for government, reducing the need to
procure via traditional tendering processes.
The
StratoGen services available through the Cloud Store include the award winning
Public Cloud Compute as a Service, DR as a Service and Desktop
as a Service.
These services are delivered through a number of key strategic partnerships
including VMware and NetApp and are delivered from tier 3 datacentre facilities
in London and Norwich.
The
services leverage key VMware technologies. The Public Cloud offering is based
on vCloud Director, the easy to use self-service management portal. The DR as a
Service solution integrates VMware's Site Recovery Manager & vSphere
Replication, enabling replication and failover of virtual machines into the
cloud. And finally the Desktop as a Service solution offers Virtual Desktop
Infrastructure based on VMware Horizon View, offering an industry leading VDI
experience.
Karl
Robinson, Sales Director at StratoGen commented ‘We're delighted that our
commitment to quality and service has enabled StratoGen to become an approved
supplier to the Government Procurement Service. This is an important milestone
in the growth of our business and something that a number of our customers have
been looking for us to achieve, so that we can assist them with their push into
the public sector. Our growing partner base will now be able to trust StratoGen
infrastructure to underpin their public sector service offerings.
