XenProject Updates Hypervisor to Xen 4.3.1

Remember the Xen hypervisor?  Back in April of this year, Citrix announced that open source community development for the Xen virtualization platform would become a Linux Foundation Collaborative Project.  The hope here was that the neutral, member-led community would help accelerate cross-industry innovation around the Xen Project hypervisor, bringing guidance and contributions from a more diverse group of technology leaders.

Well that group has been busy working on new updates, and they've announced the latest point release in the Xen 4.3 series of releases.

Some of the bug fixes and improvements made in this release (around 80 since Xen 4.3.0):

  • Adjustments to XSAVE management
  • Bug fixes to nested virtualization
  • Bug fixes for other low level system state handling
  • Bug fixes to the libxl tool stack

The Xen Project recommends all users of the 4.3 stable series to update to this latest point release.

Download is available:

You can grab this release from its git repository: xenbits.xenproject.org/gitweb/?p=xen.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/stable-4.3 (tag RELEASE-4.3.1).

Or, you can also download from the XenProject.org website: xenproject.org/downloads/xen-archives/supported-xen-43-series/xen-431.html
