Xangati Names S. 'Sundi' Sundaresh CEO

Xangati, a leading provider of cloud and VDI performance management solutions, today announced the appointment of S. ‘Sundi’ Sundaresh as president and chief executive officer. Since early 2013, Sundaresh has served as an advisor to Xangati and has been instrumental in helping implement the strategy for growth as well as assist with fundraising. Earlier this month, the company announced closing an $11 million round.

Xangati saw accelerated sales momentum, growing quarter over quarter in the last year and landing multiple six figure deals. Organizations like eBay, Comcast, British Gas, Guess, Colliers International, Univita Health, Harvard University and the U.S. Army use the Xangati Management Dashboard suite of solutions with its massively scalable live and continuous recording ability to ensure their business-critical applications perform at optimal levels.

“We look forward to having Sundi on board as CEO and being able to leverage his vast experience,” said Jagan Jagannathan, founder and CTO of Xangati. “Sundi has exactly the right mix of business acumen and corporate leadership needed to raise Xangati to the next level of market success.”

A well-known technology executive with a proven track-record, Sundaresh has served in various capacities as CEO, general manager, board member (public and private) and senior executive at top companies, where he has delivered profitable business growth; completed mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and raised capital. He has run both well-established and start-up organizations with revenues up to $1 billion.

Before becoming an advisor to technology companies and a board member of GridGain and SandForce, Sundaresh was the president and CEO of Adaptec, Inc. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of Candera Inc., an enterprise storage virtualization start up. As president and CEO of Jetstream Communications, a pioneer in voice over broadband, he captured the leading market share with the company’s solutions. During a previous tenure at Adaptec, Sundaresh served in a number of positions, including general manager and corporate vice president of worldwide marketing. He has also held various positions at Hewlett-Packard. Sundaresh holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

“During my tenure as an advisor at Xangati, I was deeply impressed by the breadth of customers, and the quality and robustness of their solutions. Not only were customers expressing sincere delight at being able to solve crucial problems with Xangati, but I rarely heard any complaints. The company has grown well with very little marketing, relying mainly on the strength of its word of mouth,” said Sundaresh. “The recent $11 million funding round allows us to grow our customer base, engage with partners and invest in product development to expand our market. I am delighted to be joining Xangati at such an exciting time.”
