Virtual Bridges Posts Strongest Quarter To-Date, Capping Banner Year

Virtual Bridges, Inc. today announced the company just completed its most successful quarter to-date. Strong demand for the company’s VERDE 7 enterprise-ready desktop virtualization solution fueled the growth as global enterprises sought to provide secure, anytime, anywhere access to end-user devices, files, applications and programs on premises and in the cloud.

“2013 was an incredibly fast-paced, aggressive year for Virtual Bridges and one that delivered very positive results,” said Sam Cece, CEO of Virtual Bridges. “Businesses and government agencies worldwide recognize the powerful solutions we provide, as well as the high quality of service and support that comes with it. We ended the year with our most profitable quarter ever and look forward to building on that momentum, advancing our core VERDE solution and developing new innovative products in 2104.”

2013 highlights include:

  • Strong Sales: Bookings more than doubled quarter over quarter and grew significantly year over year. New customer wins include: Luxottica, Schumacher Electric Corp, Slovak University of Technology, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Bocconi University and SKPlanet. Additionally, Virtual Bridges expanded its presence within the U.S. Department of Defense and Raytheon, and branched out into the Canadian and Korean Departments of Defense. Throughout the year Virtual Bridges saw increased traction in higher education and federal government verticals, and early traction in other key industries including healthcare, oil and gas and financial services.
  • Product Innovation: Virtual Bridges introduced VERDE 7, a highly flexible, enterprise-ready desktop management solution that delivers desktop-as-a service for enterprises and service providers alike. Key features include roles-based access controls, QoS network controls, multi-tenancy and broad coverage of client devices. The company also announced a relationship with Talligent to provide chargeback and metering capabilities to cloud customers, and made strong advances across its product roadmap with new solutions set for debut in 2014.
  • Partner Momentum: Virtual Bridges added new distributors in APAC and EMEA, including Bludis (Italy), Asbis (Slovakia), Centurion (Australia/New Zealand) and GSITM (Korea), and added more than 10 new reseller partners worldwide.
  • Executive Growth: Virtual Bridges introduced Sam Cece as chief executive officer and added a number of seasoned veterans with deep expertise in enterprise software, cloud, mobility and open source software to its leadership team. Key hires included: Dirk Luthro, chief financial officer; Jon Senger, chief strategy officer; Mike LaPeters, vice president of worldwide sales; Bradley Sanford, vice president of corporate development and strategic alliances; Jack Angelo, vice president of worldwide services; Kelly Jones, vice president of engineering; and Tanya White, vice president of marketing.
