Zerto announced that it has joined the Cisco Developer Network as a
Registered Developer within the Cloud Computing technology category. In
addition, Zerto Virtual Replication has successfully completed
interoperability testing with Cisco Disaster Recovery as a Service
(DRaaS) Blueprint.
The DRaaS Blueprint leverages the Cisco Virtual Multi-Service
Datacenter (VMDC) architecture together with Zerto Virtual Replication
and allows service providers to rapidly deploy and monetize new disaster
recovery services on a multi-tenant Cisco infrastructure. Service
Providers using VMDC can now offer Zerto Cloud DR and Disaster Recovery
as a Service (DRaaS) built on Zerto’s hardware-agnostic,
hypervisor-based replication technology. The solution offers native
multi-tenant replication and workflow orchestration through a single,
centralized DR management interface controlling failover, failback and
migration capabilities. The cornerstone of Zerto’s solution is not only
enterprise-grade data protection, but a platform layer enabling
production workloads to be easily mobilized to and from public, private
or hybrid clouds with full protection wherever those workloads reside.
“Zerto Virtual Replication is rapidly becoming the standard for
disaster recovery and workload mobility in cloud environments,” said Ziv
Kedem, CEO, Zerto. “By teaming with Cisco, Zerto is making it easier
for providers to bring DRaaS solutions to market with their Cisco
architecture, and improves providers’ ability to easily protect and
migrate customer workloads wherever they reside, whether on private,
public or hybrid clouds.”
The Cisco Developer Network unites Cisco with third-party developers
of hardware and software to deliver tested interoperable solutions to
joint customers. As a Registered Developer, Zerto offers a complementary
product offering and has started to collaborate with Cisco to meet the
needs of joint customers. With offerings such as Zerto Virtual
Replication, customers can more quickly deploy a broad range of Cisco
compatible business applications, devices, or services that can enhance
the capabilities, performance, and management of their Cisco network.
