Intigua Extends Award-Winning Virtual Management Platform

Intigua, the first company to virtualize the IT management stack for private and public clouds, today announced a major upgrade to its award-winning Intigua Platform, including the a new Intigua Self-Packager and integrations with OpenStack.

The upgrade also includes enhancements to existing integrations into VMware’s vCloud Automation Center (vCAC), vSphere and vCenter Orchestration (vCO). With the upgrade, Intigua is making it easier than ever to manage and ensure compliance of enterprise-wide IT management tools.

“Intigua provides the hybrid and cloud management value by integrating OpenStack and other management applications,” said Wayne Pauley of ESG Research. “Tools like Intigua provide the much-needed bridge for IT operations to run successfully and respond quickly. This is a key integration point.”

Intigua is the only automation platform that provides centralized, policy-based provisioning, configuration and ongoing management of an enterprise’s entire management stack.

“IT organizations are under pressure to quickly provision and manage a vastly expanding set of data center resources, while maintaining control over a siloed, increasingly complex management infrastructure,” said Shimon Hason, CEO of Intigua. “By adding the new Self-Packager and additional off-the-shelf integrations to Intigua, we’re making an already open platform even more extensible. Now, IT organizations have a unified governance and control plane that integrates seamlessly with their existing processes and, more importantly, reduces the TCO of the entire management stack while improving compliance with corporate policies.”

Intigua Self-Packager
Intigua automatically discovers new and existing workloads across physical, virtual, and public cloud environments. Using the Intigua policy engine, the right management configuration is applied based on the needs of the workload. The Intigua Platform supports a wide array of management tools across domains, such as configuration management, performance monitoring, backup, security, and logging. Today, with the Self-Packager, Intigua is putting the power to virtualize custom or additional third-party management tools in the hands of the user. Customers can now choose to virtualize their tools themselves and, in a matter of hours, begin benefitting from enhanced control and compliance.

Hason added, “While the Self-Packager represents an impressive SDK for Infrastructure & Operations professionals to deliver faster ROI, we also see it as the first step in creating an important and vibrant community for systems management professionals to share their knowledge in support of lowering the total cost of ownership across the entire management stack.”

OpenStack and VMware™ Integrations
Intigua continues to be committed to developing and maintaining virtualization capabilities for the industry’s most prevalent management tools. Intigua’s integration with OpenStack, VMware vSphere, VCAC and vCO comes on the heels of its recent announcement of support for Amazon Web Services. With these integrations, Intigua allows line of business owners to continue to utilize their existing tools to manage their resources, while ensuring Infrastructure & Operations teams are governing those new workloads with the right management stack that is provisioned, configured, and performing up to spec.

The Intigua Self-Packager and extended integration capabilities are available immediately.
